The books will be used during planned monthly units to provide students with exciting visuals during instruction, while also updating the classroom library! For example, during our unit on plants, students will have access to a new book about flowers. This book features bright colorful pictures of different plants and is very likely to hold student attention.
This list is filled with different materials that I believe will enhance the learning experience for my students, making it more memorable and meaningful.
The craft materials will allow students to participate in the learning experience with hands-on activities and projects. For example, the wooden cars will be a craft project and then used during our physical science unit where we learn about the way things move.
All other materials will enhance educational experiences for each student! For example, the weather stamps will provide my students, who have fine motor difficulties, with a more accessible way of recording the weather on a weather chart. The bird feeder will allow my students to glimpse nature from our classroom window as we learn about birds and other animals right outside our door.
