This year during eighth grade science the students will be learning about physics. Learning physics and a science classroom means that there will be a lot of math involved. While they have done math similar to this last year during 7th grade it'll be on a completely new level. Document cameras make it easy for students to read my writing as I am going through the math problems. Teaching them to do this using a track pad and a computer is possible; but it will not be neat and clear and will be difficult for some students to learn. Document camera will make it to where I can record myself writing on a piece of paper so it is clear, concise, organized, and most importantly easy to read.
