Using an Elmo will allow my students to observe me model lessons while being able to see what is being projected from any point in our classroom. Having an Elmo will reduce crowding, increases curiosity, reinforce teaching points and it will decrease any classroom management issues. I can recall a time when using an Elmo brought my lessons come to life! Students were sharing their drafts (work) underneath the Elmo to their peers to display what they've learned. By zooming in on their work, their peers were able to identify the teaching point used in their peers writing and were able to celebrate their peers by doing a certain clap that the author likes (i.e. Rollercoaster Clap, Popcorn Clap, Firecracker Clap etc.)
