Having a teaching easel for my classroom would greatly enhance where we spend a good chunk of our day, which is on the rug for whole group instruction. This is how and where I give an overwhelming amount of my instruction in Kindergarten. The easel would be used during morning meeting, read alouds, literacy whole group instruction and math whole group instruction. On this easel I can use the white board to write on, hang chart paper and hang instructional materials to the board with magnets. I can use the storage tubs attached to have whole group materials at the ready for my students. This project will help engage my students and help diversify my lessons.
