The stem materials and storage containers I have requested will be used in my classroom during recess and other free times to promote hands-on as well as minds-on learning. Creativity, experimentation, and teamwork are what I envision with these stem activities. My hope is these materials will help my students realize they are capable of creating amazing things, encourage them to experiment with unknown items, while ensuring they learn to work as a team to accomplish their tasks. I have seen during a summer program, how exposing students to new activities such as gardening and building can open up a whole new world for them. I am hoping exposing my students to stem activities does the same.
