This year, I was selected to teach students who chose to learn virtually rather than the traditional face to face. I will be facilitating classes from my classroom at school. I want to think outside the box and have virtual/distance learning fun and engaging by thinking outside the box. This is also only my second year teaching and my first year actually having a room so I am lacking a lot of basic classroom supplies. Teaching US history in a remote setting provides a unique opportunity to make history come alive in ways I might not have been able to do in the classroom. I want to decorate my room to help provide a comfortable environment for virtual teaching as well as a mini production area for videos complete with props and visuals. I am keeping my room with a black and gold theme (both the school colors and Hamilton!) so many of the items on the list are for my bulletin boards and walls. Also, the Rocketbook tabs will be great for digitizing writing on my board so it can get to students easily.
