While last year was very different for every one of us, this year we get to create a space where our students can truly engage and focus using a trapezoid table, desk, and flexible seating. Research has shown that sitting in rows and in the same spot is not how students learn well. Flexible seating in our classroom will allow for students to move, wobble, bounce, stand, or sit. This movement allows for increased blood flow which has been proven to increase attention and focus. Allowing students the choice in where they engage in their learning and how they learn will enable them to take an active role in their education.

About my class
