My students need sensory sensitive outdoor experiences to promote gross motor skill development. They love to play on the playground with our specially chosen age and skill appropriate equipment. The students in my class may be prone to being extra sensitive to heat and direct sunlight and tire quickly during outdoor gross motor activities. The students need rest periods during the play experiences to prevent stress to their physical health. Some shade on our play area is would go far to meet that need. Please help us play safe.
