This rug will be an interactive focal point for promoting multicultural awareness and understanding diversity. Our classroom consists of a very diverse group of students. It is essential that they are prepared to adapt to an evolving world and embrace those different from themselves. We will use this world map rug to learn and develop a genuine interest in each other’s culture while building a bond that makes everyone feel comfortable, respected, and appreciated. It will also be a great visual for the many literature pieces that will be shared this year. It is my desire to give kids the world by stirring up their curiosity as lifelong learners.
