This project is about giving my students more books for our classroom. I have been a teacher for 2 years, so I am still building my supply of books and other learning materials. Our classroom library is lacking in first-grade level books. This project will fund many book sets on different topics, both fiction and nonfiction, for my students to choose and read on their own. This will help my students grow their love of reading and be able to read about the things that interest them. These books will also be used to support our learning on various topics. This project will also include books on diversity that I will read to my class to help them learn about and care for one another, and also some “soft seats” for my students to sit on while reading (instead of the hard tile floor). Funding this project will give my students countless hours of reading enjoyment!
