Please help my Special Education preschoolers fall semester virtual learning experience be engaging, fun, and productive. With this project I can engage my young students with learning materials while virtual learning from home. I am asking for specific materials for my students to practice fine motor skills necessary for kindergarten readiness. Most of my students need daily fine motor practice to strengthen hand muscles. The daily practice is essential for the development of finger strength necessary for writing. I will be making each child a "kit" with each of the items I have requested in addition to available supplies I already have in my classroom.. Additionally, I will be sending home weekly packets of fun and engaging lessons. My school is a Title 1 school, where 100% of our students receive a free lunch. Last Spring was so challenging for my students due to the loss of routines and social interactions. My school was able to provide each child in the district Chrome books, however getting consumable supplies to students was challenging due to rapid changes to policies regarding possible contamination. As a preschool teacher I have no doubt in my mind I will make this challenging year the best year ever for my students~ Normal? Absolutely not! But make no mistake I will work that much harder to be creative! I can't wait to meet them in a few short weeks!
