Bill Gates recently stated, “Drones overall will be more impactful than I think people recognize, in positive ways to help society.” The term “drone” is a generic term to identify unmanned aircraft. There are many variations, but most importantly drones have video capabilities which can be transmitted. Real-life applications can then be put to use in our communities: medicine and prescription delivery, agriculture, industrial inspection, emergency response, film and video, and many other areas. Drones are relatively new on the technology spectrum and are evolving at a fast pace. Analyzing aerial photography for distinctive applications at home will continuously be applicable. Therefore, the digital photography will repeatedly be a topic of exploring. Various sources of powering the drones can be analyzed. Ways of improving the transmission of radio signals from the drones to the FPV (first person view) goggles can be examined. The drones will always be available for students to pilot and record videos. Regularly scheduled field trips for testing the drones in the Everglades will be planned for this year.
