This year we will definitely be facing uncharted waters. At my low-income school, my students have already been deprived of so many different opportunities. By purchasing a Google Chromebook, my students are going to get the best interactive classroom experience. Students will be able to join me live in the classroom and will have the opportunity to actively engage in my lessons. I plan to do virtual field trips with my students while sharing my screen so that they can still get the virtual experience of “leaving their house”. I chose the document camera because although I teach second grade many of them can still not read. This will help me to display literature and teach fundamental reading skills to my students. We may be at unprecedented times but I know these tools will help me to engage all students in thoughtful and collaborative learning. I look forward to seeing the growth of my students and all they will accomplish this year!
