My classroom is comprised of an amazing group of students with a variety of specialized support needs. They benefit from hands on activities that encourage movement, auditory, visual, and tactile supports. They are K-5 and working mostly on an aligned standards curriculum. Hands-on and interactive activities help with retention. Many of the students are only eight word readers and books coupled with letters and magnetic boards are a great way to provide a multi-sensory opportunity for growth. The bean bag is wonderful for them to use on breaks. The bands for chairs will assist students with focus while seated in a desk.
