My Kindergartners start in person in a couple weeks. This will be a school year like no other. I pride myself in providing movement and choices in Kindergarten to be developmentally appropriate for their age level and to meet the needs of various behaviors. This year Kindergartners are being required to sit in a desk for the entire school day. Social emotional development is important now more than ever. I want to provide individual fidget boxes for each student to help meet their sensory needs while sitting at desks. If each student has their own fidget box they can access as needed without the need for shared materials that would need to be sanitized between uses. Fidgets can help students with their focus and attention and also be calming for those who need it.
