These materials are interactive and fun to keep my students attention and interest. My students need concrete representations to learn most concepts and kinesthetic activities to keep them engaged for better learning. They need items to handle, move, and manipulate to increase learning. These materials will help my students better understand what 5 + 2 means in real life. When they can see 5 ladybugs and have to add 2 more ladybugs to make 'more', they are learning a life long skill. Making learning fun helps the children to engage in the activity and learn more for longer time periods.
