These materials will be included in my classroom library and used every day. I will also use these books as mentor texts in writing and for reading lessons like character traits and identifying key details. My job as an educator is to EMPOWER! The best way to empower them is through BOOKS, all kinds of books. My students will not only grow academically in their reading abilities but they will be exposed to different ideas, challenged, and represented to make positive changes. Students will be able to read during MIR (Monitored Independent Reading) or after they finish their work or during any given free time.
