Heart rate monitors will help my students measure their activity levels during different class activities. My students will be able to answer multiple questions regarding their own heart rate. Is their heart rate higher than their resting heart rate? Are they working within their optimal heart rate zone? What activities are producing an increased heart rate? For some students, gauging heart rate can help motivate them to try to reach an increased heart rate if they see they are not raising their heart rate enough. Having 25 heart rate monitors available in my class will allow each student to have their own, and these monitors can be easily sanitized after use in class.
