For Prek students and parents starting school for the first time from home is not what they anticipated. I want to make this experience for them as normal as I can. I want my students to be able to have a hands on experience even though they are not present in the classroom. The educational learning supplies I have chosen to place in each backpack will help make this adjustment a little easier for all. The magnetic whiteboards will allow students to practice drawing and writing alphabets, numbers, shapes and their names. The different Bingo Cards that will be distributed, will allow learning games to be played virtually during smalll group time. My feelings journals wil allow students to be able to share and talk about their feelings, which is a very important Social-Emotional skill. The Little Readers Book will support guided and independent reading during small groups as well. The construction paper and crayons will allow students to use their minds to make creative art projects. Lastly, the smiley faces from the Emoji drawstring bags will bring a little happiness to bright up a child's day.
