The light covers requested help to dim the harsh lighting of florescent lights in the classroom. Being in a classroom with children with special needs, the lighting often can trigger a negative response and irritate a student. By covering the florescent lights and dimming them will help the classroom in a more welcoming place to learn. In the past, we have had children with autism become agitated and unable to communicate their needs. When lights are turned off, it is too dark and hard to see, but with the light coverings, we are able to create a safe learning space with calming light covers.

About my class
