In elementary music class, we share all instruments throughout class time. For many of our instruments, we need to share with 4 or more students. While we are in this time of Covid-19 and working with in-person learning, we need to keep our germs to ourselves. Every child in the school passes through the music room. We cannot share instruments and keep germs from spreading. Each child needs their own basket of key music classroom percussion instruments to use during the class lessons to avoid sharing germs. These instruments will be cleaned between class groupings. Key percussion instruments from the woods and metal groups and the shaken, scraped, struck groupings have been chosen for students to joyfully develop music skills required by our rigorous curriculum.
