As a first year teacher, these supplies will allow me to grow a classroom community that can be used by all students, both present and future. I want my classroom to be a safe place for students to explore creativity, grow a love for learning, and integrate the arts. Extra materials will allow for safer usage during this pandemic, as well as provide students with an opportunity express what they have learned in a non-traditional way. This school year, we are celebrating our diversity as a school community and recognizing the importance and beauty of all cultures. The multicultural construction paper on our list will allow students to create art work that represents all cultures, as well as provide students the opportunity to use a color they find best represents themselves. With the Cricut, students can learn how to print their own labels/decals and integrate this technology into their projects.
