The items I've selected have been on my wish list for years. Many of my books have been so loved in the classroom they are held together with duct tape. I send books home everyday for my children to read in their home. Many books have been lost in their toy box forever or my students had to leave their home and belongings in the middle of the night and their books are gone forever as well. Regardless of the circumstances for their disappearance I still send books home. On my wish list you will see I've selected binders for books to be placed in with a specific purpose. These binders are a carrier so these books can go home everyday safely in hopes they will return to the classroom the next day with their little owner. I know many books will be read to the student's baby dolls, teddy bears or puppy dogs because their parents might be "too busy" to read with them in the evenings but children deserve to have books in their home even if it's just for a temporary stay.
