These items are to help provide students with an individualized hands-on experience. I have included items for both indoor and outdoor use. One of the ideas that I proposed to the school and district was to make "frames" for the blacktop. If there were a bunch of different open shapes, like a frame painted on the blacktops 7 feet apart, then students could do their own chalk drawing on an individual space inside the frame. This would really help the spacing aspect for our primary kiddos. I plan on giving each student their own jumbo piece of chalk. Items will help with both academic learning tasks and individualized creative play. I plan on giving each student their own individual hands-on set with Wikki-Stix, Play-Doh, LEGOs, etc. Students will also get to choose some of the items as well during free-choice time. I have also purchased enough of some of the items for students to take them home. There are so many great ways to use these items!
