Hello! Coronavirus has changed all our lives and I want children to come to speech therapy and have fun this year! I am a speech pathologist for preschoolers and will be in my own therapy space this year. Usually, I use materials including toys and books to engage students in therapy while I am in the classroom. This year I will not be able to share resources among multiple rooms. I am in my second year of teaching so I have not accumulated my own items yet. My students come to my room and begin by reading a book of their choice. We then go over our schedule for their session. This usually consists of either play therapy working on a specific speech or language goal or using a game as motivation to practice articulation. The materials for this project will go towards organizing my speech room and having plenty of options for children to choose from including books, games, and free play materials.
