Students are expected to wear masks all day and socially distance from their peers. There will be no functioning water fountains, no shared equipment, no assemblies or pep rallies, no table groups, no group work, and no more than two students at a lunch table. These safety measures are absolutely necessary. However, if I can invest in resources that allow me to bring some normalcy to their world, I will make every effort to! For adolescents, learning is hands-on, social, and very much a cooperative effort. And while current arrangements for our return-to-learn are needed to safely provide in-person instruction, they still require students to continue the learning process in isolation.
