With things being as crazy as they are right now in education, we are limiting the use of shared materials in the classroom. This is extremely disappointing in an anatomy and physiology classroom where models and hands-on makes the material real and fun. Having individual DNA models for each student to use will solve the issue of sharing. Individual models are also something that can be sent home to supplement technology and video lecture and bring some hands-on learning, even if we are sent home for this unit. The model can be used both for DNA structure and also protein synthesis which is one of the units that students require the most hands-on experiences to comprehend.
