I am requesting guitars, keyboards, racks and stands. This project will fund the equipment to provide a Modern Band experience for our high school students. Many students are interested and have a passion for music, but are not interested in the traditional band, chorus, or orchestra program. My goal is to be able to offer training through piano, drums, guitar, and use modern pop, country, rock music as the curriculum! Due to COVID-19, the recommendation for most music classrooms is to suspend choral and wind ensembles. The Modern Band approach is considered lower risk and is easily transferable to online or remote learning at home.
