This is my second year teaching and having my own classroom. Hands on materials and manipulative's like magnets and letter games are great for kindergarten. They are things I really need and could use. Children at this age need tangible items when learning math and literacy skills. It is important to teach them how to care for school materials as well. The timer is greatly needed in my classroom because it will help with classroom management. The games and activities I chose will help them learn letter and number recognition. It will also help with other literacy skills such as sight words. They can create words using the magnetic letters on a magnetic board. These are all materials I need in my classroom that will help better serve my kindergarten students. Everything I chose are hands on and will greatly serve this age group.
