The majority of our students are returning to school. On average I have 30 students in the lecture area of class. They sit right next to each other in the lecture area 2 to a table. My project this year is focused on student safety. If stools were provided I would be able to place 12 students in the lab area to sit spaced apart to take notes. Then I would be able to space the remaining 18 students further apart to provide social distancing and give mask breaks due to being able to seat students ad adequate distance apart. I believe this would strengthen their ability to focus and not worry about someone sitting right next to them and directly behind them. It will also give them the ability to remove the mask at times due to their lengthier distances apart. This would also help reduce the possible spread and subsequent quarantine of several individuals and teachers from class.
