Hello! As you might have seen earlier, I will be working with Kindergarten English as a Second Language (ESL) students this upcoming school year. As a first year teacher, teaching for the first time in a time of a pandemic, I want to make sure that all of my students are provided with resources that would best support their learning within and outside of the classroom. To make blended learning possible, I want to make sure that I am able to obtain resources that would support students' learning not only within the classroom, but also within their own HOMES. MANY of the families that I will be serving have been financially affected by COVID-19. Many families experience unemployment, the need to find caretakers for their children, as well as the need to also be at home to support their students' learning. Starting off a school year in which everything is uncertain, I believe it is my duty as a teacher to ensure that families feel safe about the new way school will take form. This past year, I have struggled to provide resources for students who did not have school supplies readily available back at home. This upcoming school year, students are no longer able to share their resources. Therefore, I hope that these resources would help ensure that students are ready to learn whether their learning environment is in the classroom or at their homes. ** I understand that right now is a time of uncertainty for everyone. I APPRECIATE and THANK YOU for the time you took to read this post and thank you in advance for supporting my Kindergarten ESL babies! Please SHARE if you can!! **
