Every teacher makes sure that the students in their classroom have the materials they need to learn. However, for the first nine weeks of the school year, students will be unable to enter our classrooms. Because they are separated from us, many of our students will not have the materials they need to be successful at home. Our community has been hit hard by COVID-19, and many parents are struggling to purchase school supplies for their students. With your help, we can distribute distance learning tool kits to all 3rd through 8th grade students at my school. Equipping students with individual supply kits will ensure that every student has the materials they need to be successful while learning at home, regardless of circumstance. These kits will include individual whiteboards and dry erase markers to make solving math problems fun, pre-sharpened pencils and graph paper for journaling and problem-solving, and folders for reference sheet packets. These distance learning tool kits will help students stay engaged during distance learning, and help prevent learning losses.
