With students starting the year learning from home, it will be so important to make them feel excited for the new year, as well as for them to have materials to use at home to be successful! I am hoping to give each student a high interest book with culturally diverse characters for them to read while we are apart. I also am planning on giving each child a white board to use while we meet remotely, because honestly, kids love white boards. I'm hoping that by having them, it will build engagement even though remote learning is difficult.
