As of now, we are starting face to face with virtual as well. I would love to give each child their own set of manipulatives to use either at school or at home. This insures they have the tools that they need while also not worrying about spreading germs to somebody else. Second grade is also a vital year for phonics and the phonics tubs would give students a visual explanation as I teach. Teaching the different vowel sounds as well as blends and diagraphs can be challenging, but giving children visuals and real-life objects helps them better understand and make a connection to what they are learning.
