Normally, students would choose projects from materials in our classroom, but we are starting off the year "online" so I wanted to offer a new skill that could be packaged up and sent home. These supplies--the specially cut paper and the quilling tools--can be offered to each student in a supply package. Paper Quilling is an ancient art and can be adapted to many art styles. It is easily portable and doesn't take up much space, making It an ideal project to work on from home. Most importantly, it is a new form and will be a breath of fresh air in this uncertain time. The opportunity to create is essential!
