The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. These materials will engage learning, and getting a classroom set helps my 3rd graders stay safe from the coronavirus. Students aren’t allowed to share materials during this time. The whiteboards allow me to give quick feedback to see if they are truly understanding the skill and give them the opportunity to share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear, and the whiteboards slowly become stained from frequent use. However, they are great materials to see immediate progress in students.
