These new iPads will give my students a reliable tool to use in order to practice and enhance their reading skills. Our classroom contains 10 iPads that were passed down to use from other classrooms in our building. These iPads are old and the technology runs slowly, not always allowing newer apps the ability to install or update. My students love to use the iPads, but can often become frustrated when the apps do not open in a timely manner, or the iPad crashes because it cannot support the students use. With newer iPads, student behavior will remain stable and they will be able to access the technology appropriate to their development, allowing them to practice early literacy skills.
