Problem solving is one of the major skills that students need to learn in their education, how to see a problem, collect information, and come to a conclusion to solve it. What better way to teach problem solving in middle school than with a fun breakout box challenge. The object of a breakout box is to give students all of the materials and clues, then let them loose to figure out each clue and eventually unlock the box. With the use of your donation, I would like to provide the resources of a breakout box game to engage my students in learning both classroom topics and cooperative problem solving skills. Middle school students can quickly disengage from the classroom environment if they are not challenged or entertained. I think it would be fantastic to have a classroom set of locks and decoders to build a fun and engaging review game or learning activity. Many possibilities and opportunities to learn!
