Phonics activity is very crucial in learning to read for first graders. I will use different approaches to reach my beginning readers since we start this school year with distance learning. I normally just use the regular papers for them to practice writing but I find those line papers are difficult to engage them with distance learning lessons. The notebooks, journal writings and white boards are alternative resources that will give my students a boost of interests in participating in reading and writing this year. It is something totally new to them that I lack the budget to purchase.
