The books that I have chosen teach many valuable lessons. These stories both fiction and non-fiction will inspire my students to rise above the norms and to always strive to do the right thing. As we read these books my students will be pushed beyond their normal discussion points. They will relate in many ways to some of the things that occur in the stories or they will better understand what others are going through. Students will work on building fluency and comprehension, and other literary devices. All of the reading skills that these books will bring to classroom will also help students in their writing as we read and discuss these books in class.

About my class
