These books can be used as supplemental materials in class to help students truly connect to the content. I can also recommend these titles to students that I believe would be positively impacted by the message and meaning behind the book. While in the remote setting, I can mail hard copies to my students so that they still feel connected to me and my class even when we are apart. Providing students with the opportunity to read these books while away from the class will make the first in-person discussion that much more powerful.
