My students will use these tablets in class to take the place of shared manipulatives. In looking at the options presented to us, we are looking at having my 1st graders cut out papers to create counters for math or task cards for reading. This would be a huge amount of paper used over the course of the year. I'm also not sure if I'm allowed to have my classroom library in my classroom at this point in time. Tablets are easily sanitized, allow for independent, tracked online practice, access to libraries of books, and save so much paper in the process.
