The items that I added are all Spanish books that will support my Spanish immersion students. The majority of books are authentic Spanish texts which help to integrate Spanish culture of different Spanish speaking countries through reading. Additionally, I added some Spanish graphic novels. In the previous year, students loved grabbing graphic novels during read-to-self time. They were some of the favorites for pleasure reading. Lastly, I would like to grow my library of read-aloud books. With that being said, I added some great read-aloud options. Some kiddos n don’t have the opportunity to be read to at home, so I would love to read more books to my class this year. To be able to read authentic stories and texts as a class is a valuable way to learn about social emotional skills, other cultures, and the Spanish language.
