One of the challenges I found with remote learning was getting real books into my students' homes. When my school first shut down from COVID-19, I relied mainly on digital books for my reading instruction. While online books are a great resource; they do not replace the experience of being able to touch and hold a book in your hands, especially for young, emergent, and struggling readers. As a special education teacher, my goal is to teach my students the foundations of and strategies for reading, so they can become independent readers and fall in love with books. Please help me support my beginning readers with new, engaging, "just right" books for independent and guided reading instruction while learning from home.
