Starting this new school year is a daunting task for our students and staff. We are facing new challenges with the added strain of Covid-19 looming. New school policies require students and staff to distance themselves from each other as much as possible, as well as wear masks throughout the school. In the classroom, this will make it more difficult to hear each other clearly. Your donations will help me get a wireless microphone system that I can use to teach with, so the students can hear me clearly through the mask I will be required to wear for safety. The Qball 2.0 wireless microphone can be tossed around the room without being harmed. When I ask whole group questions, I can toss the mic to a student to answer the question. They can then toss it back to me to be wiped down before going to another student. This donation will help with the shy, quieter students and those who don't speak loudly through the masks. Your donations will also help with classroom supplies needed for writing notebooks. In 10th grade English we focus a lot on writing, and our notebooks are very important for collecting that writing. At my title I school the students have a hard time providing their own school supplies each day. It is more important now - more than ever - with the Coronavirus spreading, that students each have their own supplies. They cannot share or borrow any longer. Your donations are extremely important in aiding my students have their own supplies for their English class this year. Thank you!
