These materials will help give our classroom an area to display work and posters that can encourage students to see past a textbook formula and see what math really can be. I have chosen black wall paper to highlight papers of students work and the materials needed to hang it. I strongly believe math is about learning all the ways to see it, so having plenty of pencils and erasers is a must. Also this is geometry, so i want all the students to have access to materials such as rules and protractors. With all the learning we do with angles and triangles, a straight edge and measurement tool are paramount. I have 6 periods and want an organized area for work submission. I want the students to feel comfortable and safe in the environment we've created. We are coming back in the midst of a pandemic, so cleaning is essential which is why I've added microfiber clothes so students can clean their desks between classes.
