Learning in kindergarten is going to look very different this school year. Maintaining social distance and limiting shared supplies is going to require creative methods. Whether learning occurs at school or at home, these supplies will help their kindergarten year be hands on and interactive. If my students can have a set of personal supplies our learning will be engaging and fun! With a set of alphabet letters, play dough, and some additional supplies that I already have in my classroom, I can make kits for my students to build sight words and CVC words in various ways. Dice, spinners and other math manipulatives will keep our learning in math fun and interactive. All of these materials can be reused in various ways that will keep our literacy and math learning exciting all year long.
