Personally, my planner has been my life safer over these trying times (and the only way I can stay organized!) Using a calendar/planner is a really important skill for students to learn, especially during uncertain times and virtual learning. 5th grade is a great year to begin teaching this skill to students and even making it into a daily routine/social-emotional learning activity. My co-teacher and I will explicitly teach students how to use this tool and track progress to ensure they are using them effectively. I know that my students will love learning to use a planner/calendar!
