The use of technology is going to be an inevitable and pivotal component for ensuring quality and meaningful learning this school year. While my students will be equipped with Chromebooks, expressing their thinking and sharing their work may become troublesome if this is all we rely on. Want to know how I know if a student has mastered a skill? I ask them to teach it! To me there is no truer evidence of mastery than the metacognitive process teaching provides. I will be able to differentiate math for individuals students and display the students' problem solving with this new technology equipment. This will not only improve the quality the teacher-led instruction but also the student-led portion as well. By enhancing my remote classroom with the document camera and mobile interactive whiteboard, you will not only help to improve and increase student productivity, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand and not on whether they can display their work for feedback. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
