I am transitioning to teach sixth-grade math this fall and want to start off the year with an engaging environment full of resources. I am asking for critical literacy books that apply to a diverse group of students. Building reading skills helps with math skills. The two bean bag chairs will be placed in our mindful reading nook. The multiplication fact and division fact cards will help them memorize math facts. The light covers will produce a calm, mindful environment. The fidgets will help them focus and calm down when needed. The poster will be encouraging decoration. The pencils will help them take notes. The math and division posters will provide resources. The buzzers will be used to play math games.
